Jesus worked tirelessly for God by serving others. He served by healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and washing his disciples’ feet. In John 13, Jesus knew that the hour had come when he would be betrayed. In John 13:2–5, the Bible says, "2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded."
Do you find it significant that Jesus washed the feet of the one whom he knew would betray him? If Jesus could wash his betrayer’s feet, we certainly can wash the feet of those who have done no harm to us, right? But we don’t even do that. Yet, if we do serve others, can we honestly say that we are consistent in our serving? This passage in John 13 is just one example of Jesus’s supreme humility and service.
Jesus never says he’s too busy to serve. We never read in Scripture that Jesus thought he was above anyone else or in a place of superiority among those whom he interacted with—although he is the King of Kings (Rev. 17:14). We too should always demonstrate the same type of humility, especially when serving others. There are opportunities to serve the lost and people in need every day. Will you serve like Jesus or will you look at those in need and pass by on the other side like the priest and the Levite (Luke 10:30 –32)? When we choose not to serve others, we also choose not to serve Christ (cf. Matt. 25:31–46).

“There is room in the Kingdom for workers…” and “Make me a servant” take on new meaning when you consider that even Judas was cared for by The MASTER…thanks for sharing.
